Cancellation of Booked Driving Lessons or Missed lessons/ or illness If you wish to cancel your driving lesson a minimum of 48 hours prior notice should be given. If you do not give at least 48 hours notice of cancellation you will be charged for the lesson(s) concerned in full. The reason for this is I usually have 25 other students and trying to fit in with everybody’s timetable/availability can be a struggle, I try my best to make it work for everyone and when I get a late cancellation it usually results in a 2 hour gap where someone else could have filled that spot if I had known sooner plus as I am self employed any cancellation hits me financially. I would always much prefer to do the lesson than charge for a cancellation!!I hope you understand where I am coming from MattDriving Test Cancellation Please note that in the event of you having booked your driving test, the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) stipulates that you need to give three clear working days to cancel your test. This may mean that you may/will lose your DVSA test fee if your instructor says you are not ready for test within this three day notice period.
